The exterior M/P doors in the new residence were manufactured by Tischler Windows and Doors, which have very narrow stiles. The client wanted to use sectional trim in lieu of escutcheons which are typically found on 99% of the M/P doors in America.
The customer originally requested round roses and euro collars for the sectional trim to complement the interior door hardware. Due to the narrow stile (1-3/8” wide) it was not possible to design a round rose small enough for the door stile. We suggested they consider an oval rose and euro cylinder collar which ultimately was specified and supplied for the project. The architect liked the trim so much he used on another project in Maryland.
Note: We have added sectional M/P door trim in several profiles and edge options to the Hutter Collection.
